Trojan Star Caps Brilliant Sophomore Season with Prestigious Award

University of Southern California quarterback Caleb Williams has won the 2022 Heisman Trophy, the most prestigious individual award in college football. The sophomore star led the Trojans to an 11-win season, their best record since 2017.
Williams' victory marks the first time a USC player has won the Heisman Trophy since Reggie Bush in 2005. The 21-year-old quarterback threw for 4,075 yards and 37 touchdowns this season, with just four interceptions. He also rushed for 375 yards and 10 touchdowns.
In the Heisman Trophy voting, Williams received 544 first-place votes, well ahead of second-place finisher C.J. Stroud of Ohio State. Williams' victory is a testament to his outstanding season and the bright future that lies ahead for him and the USC Trojans.
